A key element of our Parallel Quantitative Biology strategy is to develop and deliver innovative tools for genomic and RNA analysis. Indeed without this fundamental understanding of the expression of nucleic acids and the role played by key transcription factors we can not embark on the journey of understanding and discovery which ultimately leads to the contextual analysis of living biological systems.

Our founding QuantiGene product line is based on clinically-proven branched DNA (bDNA) technology and delivers quantitative gene expression analysis of unparalleled quality and with a much improved work-flow relative to traditional PCR-based methods. Today we offer product configurations in both singleplex and multiplex formats, and coming soon we will have complete solutions for gene expression analysis in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples and whole blood utilizing the same, proven bDNA technology.

In response to increased awareness of the importance of DNA Methylation, an increasingly important epigenetic regulator of gene expression, we are developing a focused product portfolio in this area. Defective regulation of DNA methylation, especially when it occurs within critical gene promotor elements, plays a fundamental role in a large number of human diseases, including cancer, imprinting disorders and diseases that involve contractions and expansions of DNA repeats. The ability to easily profile the methylation status of promotors will lead to a better understanding of how those elements contribute to normal and diseased cellular function, and potentially lead to screening strategies that can detect the relevent genetic and epigenetic markers before abnormal cells progress to a malignant state. To enhance your studies we have also developed protocols for isolation of cancer cells and preparation of nuclear extracts.
