Genospectra Appoints George E. Bers Executive Vice Preisdent, Commerical Operaions

Fremont, Calif., 7 September, 2005â??Genospectra, Inc., developer of innovative products and technologies for parallel quantitative biology (PQB), and the exclusive provider of QuantiGene and QuantiGene Plex quantitative gene expression profiling technology, today announced the appointment of George Bers to a newly created role, Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations.

In his new role, Mr. Bers will be responsible for overseeing the Companyâ??s sales, marketing and business development activities. Highly regarded as an experienced leader, Mr. Bers is also expected to be an important contributor to Genospectraâ??s growth strategy. Mr. Bers has 30 years of experience in life sciences, drug discovery and clinical diagnostic product development, including proteomics, genomics, and cellular analysis. He has held various senior executive management positions at NuGEN, Beckman Coulter, Nanogen, and Bio-Rad Laboratories. Mr. Bers has a B.A. degree from Duke University, and a M.S. degree in Biochemistry from Georgetown University.
