New Transcription Factor Mutations Detection ELISA Kit

Redwood City, Calif. September 21, 2004—Panomics, Inc. introduces SNPCapture™ TF Mutations ELISA Kits. A total of 65 SNP detection kits were developed to specifically analyze transcription factor (TF) mutations. These SNPs were originally identified in the SNP500Cancer database established by the National Cancer Institute. Using our patented SNPCapture technology, mutations can be detected simply by the formation of a unique double-stranded DNA structure known as a Holliday junction. The screening is fast, accurate and easy to use. And best of all, there is no need to purchase any capital equipment to run the assay. You simply provide the genomic DNA, perform PCR, and run a gel.

Panomics currently offers SNPCapture™ Kits for detecting the following clinically significant mutations: Factor V Leiden, Factor II G20210A, MTHFR, p53 mutations. A kit is also available to detect two point mutations found in drug-resistant strains of the hepatitis B virus.
