Mutation Screening Kit

Redwood City, Calif. March 16, 2004—Panomics, Inc. introduces SNPCapture™ p53 Mutation Screening Kit. With this kit, you can quickly screen p53 for mutations in the region most commonly associated with cancer – the DNA binding domain. Screening p53 for mutations has never been easier. Using our patented SNPCapture technology, mutations can be detected simply by the formation of a unique double-stranded DNA structure known as a Holliday junction. The screening is fast, accurate and easy to use. And best of all, there is no need to purchase any capital equipment to run the assay. You simply provide the genomic DNA, perform PCR, and run a gel.

Panomics currently offers SNPCapture™ Kits for detecting the following clinically significant mutations: Factor V Leiden, Factor II G20210A, MTHFR, p53 mutations. A kit is also available to detect two point mutations found in drug-resistant strains of the hepatitis B virus.
