New ELISA mutation detection kits for detecting SNPs.

Redwood City, Calif. November 7, 2003—Panomics, Inc. introduces SNPCapture™ ELISA Mutation Detection Kits for genotyping. These easy-to-use kits employ a novel, patent pending technology in a high-throughput ELISA platform. No additional expensive equipment is required, nor is gel electrophoresis involved. Less post-PCR sample manipulation means less opportunity for cross-contamination. Best of all, the SNPCapture™ assay is 100% accurate.

Panomics currently offers SNPCapture™ Kits for detecting the following clinically significant mutations: Factor V Leiden, Factor II G20210A, and three MTHFR mutations. A kit is also available to detect two point mutations found in drug-resistant strains of the hepatitis B virus. Each kit includes everything needed besides template DNA and Taq polymerase.
