New array for profiling WW domain interactions.

Redwood City, Calif. September 23, 2003—Panomics, Inc. introduces the WW Domain Array, a high-throughput tool for investigating protein binding to WW domains. The assay is straightforward: simply express a protein of interest in bacteria, then incubate the extract with the array membrane. Protein interactions literally take place on the membrane, upon which 67 WW domains have been immobilized so that they remain folded in active conformations. The signal can be visualized using chemiluminescent detection.

The WW Domain Array comes with everything needed to perform the assay: two array membranes, ligand expression vector, assay buffers, positive control, and detection reagents.
