High-throughput assay for simultaneously detecting multiple cardiac markers at the protein level.

Redwood City, Calif. July 23, 2003—Panomics, Inc. introduces the Cardiac Marker Array for profiling the levels of active cardiac marker proteins. Unlike traditional methods such as ELISA, which can only assess one cardiac marker at a time, the Cardiac Marker Array profiles the level of four active cardiac marker proteins in one assay. Both versatile and simple to use, the array is ideal for serum or plasma samples.

Cardiovascular disease afflicts close to one in four Americans and is a major cause of death in the United States. Smoking, lack of exercise, and unhealthy eating habits, are leading causes of cardiovascular disease in today’s world population. Fortunately, early detection and intervention can be combined to greatly increase the chance of surviving this potent killer.

The new Cardiac Marker Array brings the benefits of the antibody array to cardiovascular disease screening.
