New Array for High-throughput Analysis of Transcription Factor Activation

Redwood City, Calif. January 27, 2003—Panomics, Inc. introduces the Transcription Reporter Array for simultaneously monitoring the activation of 24 transcription factors in vivo. Unlike transcription reporter vectors, which monitor a single TF at a time, this new array facilitates analysis of the activation of multiple transcription factors under different experimental conditions. The Transcription Reporter Array also enables the assessment of interpathway cross-talk, allowing users to tease apart multiple layers of regulation in a single step.

The array comes with a library of reporter constructs, each of which contains a cis-element and a unique tag sequence. After the library is transfected into host cells, reporter tag expression will be induced only if the corresponding TF is activated and bound to the appropriate cis-element. RNA is then isolated and used to synthesize labeled DNA probe, which is hybridized to the array membrane. Results are visualized via chemiluminescence detection.
