New Line of Arrays Facilitate Protein-level Cytokine Expression Profiling

Redwood City, Calif. January 15, 2003—Panomics, Inc. introduces a new line of arrays for profiling cytokine expression at the protein level. RayBio Cytokine Antibody Arrays facilitate the simultaneous detection of multiple cytokines from a variety of sources, including cell lysates, conditioned media, patient sera, plasma, and urine. These arrays have several advantages over conventional methods. They are more sensitive, have a greater detection range, and are more amenable to high-throughput screening than ELISAs. Moreover, RayBio Cytokine Antibody Arrays can be used to detect only secreted cytokines, which represent levels of active protein.

Panomics currently offers four Raybio Cytokine Antibody Arrays. The Human Arrays 1 and 1.1 both include the same 23 cytokines; the Human Array 3 includes 42 cytokines; and the Mouse Array 1 includes 22 cytokines. All arrays except for 1.1 are designed for use with conditioned medium, serum, and plasma; 1.1 is for use with cell lysates and certain tissue lysates.
