Array for screening SH3 domain-protein interactions

Redwood City, Calif. Oct. 29, 2001—Panomics, Inc. introduces the SH3 Domain Array. With this new array, you can determine whether your protein of interest binds to 38 different SH3 domains—all in one experiment. Protein-SH3 domain interactions are of interest to researchers in many fields, from signal transduction to AIDS research. The procedure is simple and straightforward: express a protein of interest in bacteria, then hybridize the extract with the Array membrane. The results can be visualized using x-ray film or a chemiluminescent imaging system.

Panomics has developed a novel, proprietary technology that allows protein interactions to literally take place on an array membrane. The SH3 Domain Array is the first in a series of arrays for detecting protein-protein interactions.
