New MYRIA p53 Target Gene Array from Panomics, Inc.

Redwood City, Calif. June 15, 2001—Panomics, Inc. introduces the new MYRIAâ?¢ p53 Target Gene Arrayâ??designed specifically for profiling the expression pattern of genes that are induced by p53. This MYRIA p53 Target Gene Array includes eighty-two p53 target genes that were carefully selected via a survey of the literature. The MYRIA p53 Target Gene Array makes it easy to identify p53 target genes that are induced or repressed in a particular cell line or tissue sample. This array can also be used to identify p53-associated pathways.

The MYRIA p53 Target Gene Array is remarkably simple to use. The first step is to isolate RNA from an experimental sample and a control; then, reverse-transcribe in the presence of biotin-dUTP. These biotin-labeled cDNA probes are then hybridized to MYRIA array membranes, and results are visualized using chemiluminescent detection. The procedure is straightforward, and no radioactivity is required.
